Internal wall insulation is done from within the property, and there are several ways to achieve this.

One method will be the usage of insulated plasterboards, and the other by creating a stud framework and insulating using EPS foam rigid boards and vapour layer controls and plasterboard. This usually takes around four days to complete, and internal wall insulation is more commonly used in flats and houses that cannot change the structure from the outside, such as listed buildings or where there are external access issues.

The amount of heat retention will be approximately 40% using this method, and this also helps from an acoustic point of view with noise control.

On average, you will save around £350 - £450 each year from internal wall insulation, which does not consider the additional savings of installing loft insulation or double glazing.
